Review by Jason Hagglund for CLICK Espresso Protein Drink, Mocha, 16-Ounce Canister

This is, so far, my very favorite protein shake.
If you love coffee then you should follow the directions- the mocha flavor is nice and strong in 12 oz of fluid (I do milk, to up the protein content; more on that later). If you like coffee with chocolate flavor then this is the mix for you!
Personally, I like putting 16 oz of milk in a Blender Bottle (with the genius blender ball) and then two scoops of Click powder. I personally love mocha when the chocolate is predominant with a hint of coffee, and this tastes like chocolate milk with a delicious coffee undertone.
My only complaint is that the protein content is a little bit low (15g per serving) and it’s $1.50 a serving. Honestly, it’s so good that the money is worth it. It’s also way less spendy- at least half the cost of your average drink- than getting a mocha at a coffee stand and far healthier. As far as the protein goes, if I do the 16 oz of milk then I get 33 grams of protein in a shake. Not too bad, and again, it tastes so great!
As an RNY gastric bypass patient I find it difficult to in 80 grams of protein from shakes per day, particularly because most things just don’t taste that great. This is the first protein drink I’ve had that is genuinely good, not just, “Meh, I guess that’s ok for a protein drink.” I fully recommend this to anyone!!
Lastly, you can search around for other recipes- some people add a scoop of vanilla protein powder and a splash of drip coffee, or drip coffee and sugar free vanilla syrup, etc. I also hear Click makes DELICIOUS protein ice cream, and I plan to give that a go in the upcoming weeks. If it is delicious I’ll leave this as is. If it’s nasty (which, based on how great this stuff tastes, then I doubt it will be!) I’ll edit my review to reflect that.
Enjoy!

Espresso, chocolate, and, PROTEIN, 15 grams in one serving. It can be made hot or cold, I tried it both ways about eight times now, and I love it. (You know I don’t just throw that out there, I am a tough cookie.)
For the sake of a simple review, I tasted it AS THE PACKAGE DIRECTED and it was just perfect.
I prepared it cold, and look, I sucked this down, and then I cleaned the bathroom in a single bound, I did!
As a hot drink, it’s also delightful – you literally just mix it as you would any hot powdered drink like a cocoa. I highly suggest a whisk, and do it well, and you get the best results. This mix really has a smooth mocha flavor.
I’ve been drinking it hot in my morning cappuccino – I whisk one or two scoop into some hot water to mix, then a shot of espresso and then top it off with steamed unsweetened soy milk, and it makes an AMAZING morning cup.
I’ve already thrown it into protein shake concoctions in the blender, and it’s OMG!? DELICIOUS with blended ice and additional flavors. (THINK ABOUT THE OPTIONS HERE PEOPLE!)
The nutrition:
* 2 scoops contain:
* 120 calories
* 1.5 grams of fat
* 115 mg sodium
* 290 mg potassium
* 12 carbohydrate
* 1 fiber
* 7 sugar (fructose)
* 15 protein
Overall, I am very impressed with Click Protein. There is NO telltale protein-y taste, you that icky tongue-feel and after taste you might get with other protein products? I don’t know how it’s possible, but it’s true – you cannot tell that this is a protein drink by any stretch.
Add that to the fact that it contains my two main food groups, espresso and chocolate? It’s a clear winner, and my new thing.

I use Click everyday in the morning and again aroundd 3pm. It is the perfect protein drink. If you have every tried any other coffee flavored proteins, you will soon taste the superior flavor of “Click”. It is high in protein and low in sugar a perfect combination for healthier living.

I put 12 oz milk, 1 heaping scoop of Click! and some crushed ice into my bullet blender. It’s fabulous! Click recommends 2 scoops, I’m good with 1 heaping scoop. Every bit as good as the ‘bucks and loaded with protein.

Click is a perfect combination of sustainable protein and caffeine! For years my husband and I have a mid-afternoon protein shake as well as a caffeine “fix” to get us through the day. With Click we get our protein and caffeine fix in one drink along with the added bonus of other nutrients! It’s VERY easy to mix, no blender necessary, and a great taste…LOVE the new vanilla latte addition!

I’ve tried a lot of other whey protein powders, but this brand is the best deal for the money. It tastes great, mixes well (I use either soy milk or water) and satisfies my hunger. It’s also one of the lowest carb mixes out there. I’ve also noticed that if I drink one of these shakes right after working out I don’t seem to get sore.
Let me state up front – I’m not a body builder – I’m an over 50, out of shape housewife getting ready for lap band surgery. I’m losing the weight I need to before the surgery and this stuff is helping. I was using Muscle Milk light, but it has way more carbs and I wasn’t losing any weight with it – just building muscle.
The Cafe Mocha is great and so is the Butter Cream Toffee.

After going through Optimum Nutrition Gold and NOW Foods Whey Isolates, I decided to try something a bit cheaper that had good reviews. This is an incredible value ($36 shipped for 5#) for a protein that isn’t high in fat or cholesterol, packs in plenty of protein and BCAA’s, and actually blends perfectly! No granules left over to get stuck in my teeth, it is by far the best blending powder I have tried.
Mixed with water, the chocolate tastes as you would expect – nothing special, but it could certainly be A LOT worse. I don’t know why some people deduct points because it doesn’t taste like Godiva. Its whey protein, its not supposed to taste good. The fact it is not undrinkable like some proteins is an accomplishment, but this is a decent tasting mix. Blend it with milk and it passes as chocolate milk.
Im not a scientist or a body builder, just someone who weight trains with cardio on a low carb diet and needs extra protein. It has been perfectly effective, I feel replenished after workouts and have noticed good muscle growth and recovery. I will be going back to this product for a long, long time.

This is the only protein powder I’ve found that doesn’t taste nasty. The differences in the non-chocolate flavors is very subtle to me but all the one’s I’ve tried are very good. I personally can not tell this is sugar free. Check the ingredients,Aspartame is not used in this powder. Although this product is probably meant for bodybuilding, I use it to promote healing after surgery and for breakfast as I am on a lower carb diet. It doesn’t have fiber but I like being able to control how much fiber I mix in. Yummy stuff!

I ordered this item just over two weeks ago. It was recieved in about three or four days(weekend fell in between).
I was pleasantly surprized to taste a near chocolate shake flavor( I ordered the cafe mocha, in fear that the other flavors might be too sweet). I only detect a small proteinish flavor….it is incredibly tasty for something that is that good for you.
On weight lifting days i do a scoop and a half, 8 ounces of organic soy milk, a banana and ice. On lean days, i do 1 scoop, water and ice (only about 110 calories).
I was amazed at how after a grueling 2 hour weight lifting session, 2 shakes daily and not an ounce of soarness…i guess the pain after the workout is your muscles begging for protein.
If your looking for a lean meal replacement or something to bulk up, dont pass this up!!!! 10 lbs. for 60 bucks…. Just Do It!
