Citronella is native to the southeastern part of Asia and the perenniual tropical grass, is grown mainly in Sri Lanka, India, Burma, Indonesia, and Java. The leaves have been used for their fragrence as well as an excellent insect repellent. The Chinese use the leaves more specifically for rheumatism.
