My husband and I did a safari in South Africa in August’09 and I had some rooibos experience here in the States but it was always mixed with something else. Freshpak is what the South African’s buy. It has a great flavor and is cheap even here! I picked up Lipton’s Rooibos while in SA but I found I liked Freshpak much better. That tea became my friend there as I did have a day of being under the weather, it made me feel better. The people there swear by it. A little honey, some lemon and you can drink it all day. I brought tea for family and friends here but I haven’t heard if they have even tried it….might have to steal it all back!
Down to my last bags…need to buy more!

I purchased this tea after I was given a box of Madagascar Red Tea,(a different brand altogether) it was good, but… I wanted to find out more about Rooibos tea and all of the health benefits of Red Tea. I started reading more on the subject and I searched online and then ordered the Freshpak brand. The delivery was quick (only a few days). Well to say the least, I am totally hooked!!! I found myself drinking this tea all day long – throughout the winter months. The only down side is I’ve search alot of health food and speciality stores and could’nt find it
I will continue to order this product – there are not too many true (Red -Rooibos Teas) however, this one is!!!

I love this tea and drink several cups daily. I just bought 4 packages of Freshpak rooibos tea with an expiration date of Dec 18, 2009. These are packaged differently and do not reference South Africa on the top. The taste is very different however! The tea is much milder and actually a bit sweet. I am very disappointed that the formulation seems to have been changed.
